Converts from a swing to a stationary seat by using the green clip attached to the bottom rail. It has straps to hold baby that are adjustable and a palm tree toy bar that hangs over baby. The toy bar can be moved from the front to the back of baby or can be taken out altogether. The swing function of the seat has 5 speeds ranging from a very slow rock to a slow swing. There is also a calming vibrations function that we found good with a colicy baby. There is also the option of 6 different tunes. We used this with our bub from birth until about 5 months of age. Most babies can use it a lot longer our boy is just big :) The seat cover and straps both come off for easy washing and both have been freshly washed.
